What can i do with soul orbs ?

I have some points left in the shop and i really want to know what soul orbs is.

Soul orbs are items that give you 20 soul points when you use 1, by right+clicking it.
And soul points can be used for many other things, like rune-making, spells, and traps.

They give you 50 soul i think.. not 20.. Well im not sure at all.

They used to give 50, but they were downgraded to 20 in one of the previous patches.
