Every monster there rewards almost double or tripple the exp than any monster in Fungus.
The reason why some consider it bad is maybe because the monster deals a lot of damage and have a lot of Hp. I think it's better if you do the test by yourself and come up with your thoughts, instead of listening to rumours.
