Since you guys switched server providers there has been no more ddos atacks BUT the server gets really lagy at times and also the server saves freezes the entire server for a good while even kicking some players. Is there a way you can fix this?

Well the server can't have Lags since the new host we moved on is in Netherlands (Known with their best ISP / fiber routers) BUT since last week we started to used an older method of Server Save which takes around 15-25 seconds to save the whole players data and houses.

We are currently working on finding new method of save so the save won't take more than 2 or 3 seconds.

Your patience is appreciated for the time being.
