[Mysterious Island] New update idea.

Hello Xerazain's and the Staff team!

I know you launched a new update approximately 2months ago but I'm still looking for something new! I haven't revealed all the secrets you implemented (yet) and I haven't been online that much lately either. However, I decided to share an idea > I < think would be cool.

Have in mind that this is a work in progress. And I understand if people dont share the same thoughts about these ideas. But I hope you can see the pontential since leveling can get quite boring/frustrating in the higher rebirths and since most people already completed all the quest.

With this idea, people will hopefully have things todo when they come online. And just not stand afk in Temple. Have in mind that you can share any idea if you'd like. This is basically just an overview what it CAN look like ..

Most things will be included in the 2nd post. I just hope people see the potential of adding a new thing that currently don't exist on another OT.

Due to the lack of information from my side, I've decided to edit "this" post.
Atleast until I know IF the ingame players would actually like it,
- and until I've build up some possible areas so you get a better view How the area will possibly look like.. (my vision).

But I guess I could show you some teaser(s) of what I've managed todo.
Have in mind that nothing is done and is purely a prototype. Basically created to show the staff what I had in mind/ provide ideas for their own creation.

Firstly we got some parts of the Mine-Cart Quest. The idea was to travel further into the mines of the dwarves. At each "checkpoint" there would be a "problem" -
* Boss encounter (with mechanics)
* Monster encounter (simply find the next cart)
* Rail-mechanic ( possibly a lever you need to pull to continue).

Here's 3 pictures of the quest (it's only a small part(s) of a huge quest).
1) Where the mine cart starts
2) Pic of a rail mechanic. (Simply drag the "big screw" to the pointed tile and drag the lever. = the gate will open and you can continue.).
3) Monster encounter. (Simply walk the "path" to find the next cart).




Have in mind that nothing is done. Not even the pictures (Details and shit).
The main point (by doing these parts) is to see if the "things" actually work. So it all starts with the rails, then adding the other features. So it's a huge chance none of these pictures will be included when I upload the idea to the staff.


There are some other pictures, but I doubt people actually care :P You can always msg me ingame if you wish to see them. But unfortunately this is just a hobby, so I will only spend time on it when I got time.

this is incredible man .

Anyway the reallity is every new update become worse than old one ,so i think communities should look for what the people need and what the people need is 8.60 old client.

Currently ,im working and studying so i don't have to time to open and have some fun with you guys.
i hope soon i could open :P and PEACE

the rewards make no difference, they are cool but it would not change gameplay to get 15% extra mp or hp , other than that it sounds like a cool quest.

@Death Rush.

Highexp 8.6 was probably the most enjoying time I had here. And it's also what got me into Tibia.
However, it wasn't the game-play that made it fun, it was simply the old players. I could mention some names but it's useless.

BUT, I actually hade more fun when they launched 9.83 when it comes to the game-play. That was the best update (imo). Before the challenge spells and when none of the players used bot. It was simply personal skills that mattered.

My personal opinion why the server got worse wasn't the update(s). On the paper it's actually a lot better.
The main issues (imo) was the change(s) on:
Admin SD
Extreme Runes
Critical Chance
Exura Immune

And the Paralyze Rune bug.

I understand that they had to higher the damage output since players got a higher rebirth. But they increased it to much. I'm not saying that I as a knight should be able to block 6 players, but dying from 2 players as a rebirth 1700 in a single freeze was so frustrating. Or killing a Mage 1500 without the freeze rune.

I haven't seen the new changes in action, but hopefully it's a lot better now.

Hello Exxxtra and welcome to the Forum's!

Actually HP & Mana makes a difference in the higher rebirth. Since you'll always gain more HP/Mana when you rebirth, those 5% will be a lot for a high rebirth player.
Also the Knight's challenge spell depends on your HP. (Will deal 30% of your HP towards another player). That's the reason why some players use the Ultra Rich Helmet.

But yes, the reward is quite useless and not worth the effort.
While writing the thread, I made a lot of fails. e.g:

* Their/there
* Forgot to include an important word.

One example is that I forgot the word "example" while writing the Weapon Awards.
Basically it was just an example what I meant with "suitable enchant". The main idea was to upgrade your current weapon. If you have a rich sword, you could simply upgrade it. Since Ultra Items already exist, why not have it on your wepons or shield. But I later ditched the idea since all the player do not own Rich items.

A more suitable reward would probably be + protection which it all comes down to in PVP. (higher survival). Or an trinket that removes the freeze effect.

As a player, we expect something "OP". But the current struggle is if we want an OP item, or lesser cool items?- Surely we'll have to see if players/Staff like the idea first.

I have to say, Riesen has the best ideas when it comes to improval and new features on this server, too bad we can't see them at work always.

I'll try to stick only to this thread idea.

I really miss the times when I first met tibia, on 7.2, and I saw global tibia develop onto a great game, until I really got demotivated for many reasons, but one of the great developments I saw and motivated me to go for premium account, was those quests like you're proposing, long, and complex quests, I used to enjoy just for the quest, the history itself, without going actually for the reward.

About your idea, I'd really enjoy to see a great storyline going on and here are some thoughts:

Story and mechanics.
I havent made the new quests yet, but we have ZERO quests that involves complex puzzles.
Like the switch idea you gave, but all quests (and of course this is important) are based on going on, kill monsters, get the reward, but what about logical puzzles? Not random ones like "find the right swich among many" but math puzzles, tricky questions like "What gets wetter as it dries?" or maybe even a question that you had to pay attention on the hole story to know the answer (example: Sailor NPC: "I can take you to that island only as far as the beach, I'm very afraid of spiders, but be careful, a lot of mysteries surround it" and a further npc asks you something like "I have this X item but I need something from you in exchange, that Sailor NPC used to live in here, he destroyed all my wheat farm and blamed on the Dwarfs but I know it was him, if you know something he's afraid that I could use as revenge, I will give you the X item" But there are MANY other examples of puzzle things that could be added with the boss/monster killing main idea. Those are the kind of things I miss on all servers, you go on, get lvls, pvp, a few quests to improve your set and get bored then move to another server.

Another possible option as you mentioned something about "yalahar" is the same thing that tibia did, lik you must choose ONE side only to go on, but I do understand that it might not be that suitable since you have to make 2 storylines and we dont have that much players active lately.

Interaction with what already exists

Another idea on the quest, we have a lot of unused places that could be great as part of this main huge island, like the area before the insect quest have some potential, crystal base spawns and other cities on the TP area too. But not only areas, npcs, places, quests well you know, we could go as far as we want to.

Map

Just personal opinion without any logic "reason" but I think the 3 islands with underground or upperground connections would be awesome.

Rewards

I personally would not need a item, buff, upgrade or mount BUT I dont see the point of making such huge project if players dont go for it, and all players will only do it if they get worthable rewards. What I can sugest its a new lv up area inside the island, and the only way to use it is doing the quest. A good place for players 1200+

Super Rich Pieces

New set piece as reward like "super rich set" that can be comboed with ultra pieces, but with different proprieties and as ultras "only 1 piece equiped per character" so maybe like a druid will have "ultra boots equiped" but he done the quest, and the "super rich boots" gives 5% extra magic attack but -3% on dmg protection" so he'll have to choose between get another "super piece" (ex: super rich legs: +18% all protection but -3% on general dmg) so he can keep the boots slot with the ultra part, or get the super boots and try to trade his ultra with other players for a legs/helmet/armor.
That would give more variety to the gear EQs so the pvp wont go only for what spell/rune to use, but also whats the best EQ for my pvp style (agressive/passively).

Also I already said this few months ago, but I'll say again, if we had a "quest completation status" on our character profile at website would be AWESOME. Also maybe a new area/exclusive mount only for who have 100% quests completed on server? so even if we get new updates that gets new quests, players that wanted that new area/mounts would have to go for the new quests, and you could check on players profile the ones who done those quests.

I might edit this later if I have more thoughts on it, but for the moment, thats all.

honestly i don't remember any of wars of the ot except 8.60 wars ,i just remember my best friends
