Well Riesen LoL had ELO system but now it became MMR system, though w/e. I hope that will be introduced, it would be great to fight for glory!

You're right, it doesn't really matter. I mainly took the ELO system because that's the only rating system I'm familliar with. Also the ELO system works fine since players are not the same rebirth.

You're free to share how MMR works if you find it better.

Since I don't see any ideas, I decided to post a few of my own ideas.

* Purchase Crafted items for 30-40 Arena Points. (Have in mind that you have to win 30-40 matches).
* Purchase 100 Extreme Runes for 15 Arena Points. (15 wins).
* The NPC will be located in Portal Tower.
* Purchase a Mount for 200 Arena Points.
* Test Arena: If you want to test one arena with a friend (e.g tactics) You can invite a friend and join the arena. !invitearenafriend name / !joinarenafriend, name. Hopefully it's suitable.
* Since the main idea that you cannot trade Arena Points, it could also be a point (simillar to donation points) you recieve on the site. And there you'll be able to purchase exclusive rewards.

Future ideas.
I doubt this Arena Function will be an successful idea. But one of my ideas was to unlock exclusive rewards when you hit a specific rating.
E.g.

+1000 Rating - Rare item.
+1500 Rating - Rare item.
+2000 Rating - Unlocks a new mount.
+2500 / 3000 Rating - Cooler Promotion name. (Gladiator? Arena Master? Ideas, please! =) )

Well MMR system works in same scheme as ELO system, it's just other name, though I heard it has one differention which I don't know yet, haven't played LoL for some months xD
Anyway about these promotion names, what if you could pick your own promotion name?

i didn't say you stole it, about knowing servers with ELO system ye i said evo had this system you believe or not doesn't matter as long as i saw it.

I don't know if "promotion name" is the the thing to go, but would deffinetly be cool with some sort of NameThing that shows you have a good rating.
I actually decided to take a look at League to give an example. And the closest thing I got was their "Tier(?)".

Have in mind that these ideas are just small ideas atm.
Let's use an example and say you get a "rank" each time you hit a specific rating.
It could probably look like this.

1000 Rating - Scout
1500 Ratings - Duelist
2000 Ratings - Gladiator

So, if you're above 1000 Rating, somewhere it will say you're a Scout.
Anyway, the main idea was to only have one rank at the highest rating and exclusive rewards at the lower. Basically the "rank" would be shown to the "best duelists" to show the rest of the players their Achievement.
I cannot imagine if players pick their own name since it interact with the main idea, lol.

Kind of destroy if you'd pick "Toothbrush" as a title.

Anyway, picking fitting names and rewards is quite exhausting, since I don't know what players like. I'm personally working on some other ideas within this Duel idea and if you have some fitting names (I personally don't care if it exist in other games), please share! =)

Drunk but whatever, items from this kind are not cool since players can negociate it (unless its based on the rating to use the item) but the promote/arena mount exclusive/special "soul items" (non tradeable) are awesome rewards to motivate players on this event! Anyway I can see a real idea going on, its really great to see different opinions about it and would be greater to see that working on our server!

That is true.
I wrote "Rare Item" because I'm not entirely sure what item that suits this category. I doubt they can create "soul items" (as you mentioned). Based on rebirths could be something. - But what? ;p

However, while considering some ideas about what the "Rare Items" could be, the first ideas was a Spell and an Outfit. Unfortunately you basically already have a all the outfits and the 'colored eggs' already gives you the option to transform you to something else.

If there's some outfit that doesn't exist in this OT, an new outfit could perhaps be the award.

About the new spell. I don't want it to be a "new,new attack spell". It would probably be an conjure / illusion spell that you cannot use while pking. But used to have some fun and brag about.
It could also be an upgrade on the (e.g) Mega Spell. Not more damage but perhaps you say something else and it looks differently.

Unfortunately, I haven't thought that much about it and the reason why I didn't share it at the beginning is because I'm sure we can find a better reward at those specific ratings.

Since applying on the Forum may be a bit of overworking, I thought it might be better to make a specific Channel for this feature.

When he writes that command, his name will appear in the Arena Channel. Therefor, we Helpers or Arena holders can keep an better eye out. And not worrying about checking the Forum all the time to find contestants. This channel could also report whenever we start an arena and who wins an arena battle.

my idea for the rewards are the runes which i mentioned earlier in another thread.

avalanche runes or great fire ball runes etc

Can you give some more information about these runes?
I don't remember which thread you mentioned these in.

I personally don't want any attack/supportive runes as a reward when it comes to ratings.
Gaining a higher rating is more like an Achievement, so the rewards would be something that shows your Achievement. Like a King with his crown or a noble man with his name.


Though, I think we can do a lot more with the Arena Points and here is where these runes might fit. I previously thought about the DOT-runes that been mentioned several times.
(Damage over time - runes).
And the question now is..
- Should these runes only work in the arena?
- Will the rune last forever or is it a specific amount?
- Should it be a spell instead so players can't switch runes?
