[Staff] Helper Position Application!

Greetings Xerazain's

Since we found too many requests regarding joining the Server Staff and apply for positions, we have decided to open this Helper Position Application, feel free to apply by answering some questions will be asked below:


NOTE: By applying for this position you must be considering yourself as a respectable player and you are really interested to join our team.

Let's start with what should a Helper do?



  • Helper should help people into Help Channel and therefor he should be a good reader for Server FAQ.


  • a) Helper Answer Questions Related to the Game

  • The single most important duty of helpers is to answer questions concerning all aspects of Xerazx-OTS. They must answer truthfully and to the best of their knowledge. Also, they may offer advice on problems concerning the rules, but their opinion does not necessarily reflect the official position of Xerazx-OTS Team. Every Helper is free to decide whether he wants to answer in-depth questions concerning the content of the game, e.g. questions about quests or not. Generally helpers should support their help by referring to a corresponding part of the documentation. For additional information they can also link to a supported fansite.

  • b) Helpers Check Both the Help Channel and the Support Boards on a Regular Basis

  • The help channel is where players can contact Helpers in the game. Consequently, Helpers should always keep an eye on it. If a Helper finds that no other Helper is active on the help channel, he or she should be prepared to step in and take over. In addition to the help channel Helpers should also check the support boards regularly to see if there are questions that need to be answered.

  • c) Helpers Report Bugs

  • Helpers who learn about a bug or find one themselves should deliver detailed bug reports to Xerazx-OTS Team. To do so the client's bug report dialog should be used. It can be opened by Submiting a Ticket. Note that Helpers should only report actual bugs and not mistake them for game weaknesses. For a more detailed description see the section concerning bug reports.




Limitations:


  • a) Helpers Do Not Enforce the Rules

  • Helpers cannot impose banishments or notations on players, and they must not threaten to do so. However, Helpers can report other characters just like every other player.

  • b) Helpers are Not Authorised to Interrogate Players

  • Of course, players may choose to answer a Helper's question if they feel this will help to solve their problem. However, there is no obligation to answer a Helper's question - a player can refuse to answer anytime. Above all, players should keep in mind that any attempt to steal account data from other players is a serious offence of the Xerazx-OTS Rules.

  • c) Helpers May Not Pretend to be Representatives of Xerazx-OTS

  • Under no circumstances must a Helper lead other players to believe that he or she is acting on behalf of Xerazx-OTS . Impersonating a member of the Xerazx-OTS is considered a serious violation of the Xerazx-OTS Rules.


Code of Conduct for Helpers:



  • a) Be Polite

  • Some players may be rude and irritating. Never get carried away. If a person proves to be tiresome, it is better to ignore this player rather than getting involved in some unnecessary argument. Maintain a polite and neutral level of conversation with players as well as with your fellow team members. Remember that you should act as a role model and deal with problems on a professional basis.

  • b) Be Calm

  • Do not haste your answers. Take your time. Answer only one question at a time and think carefully. If you know you will have to leave soon, it is better to leave that extra question to some other Helper rather than trying to answer in a rush.

  • c) Be Brief

  • Some players may try to involve you in pointless discussions. Unless you have plenty of time and energy to waste you should not encourage such players. Try to identify the question and answer it in a brief, concise statement. If you find a conversation with a player turns into a chat, move over to the world chat channel.

  • d) Be Precise

  • Always keep in mind that language poses a problem in Xerazx-OTS, so Helpers should make sure that players understand what they are saying. When talking to a player, express yourself in correct, well-chosen English sentences that are easy to grasp. If you encounter a player speaking the same language as you and that language is not English, you can of course switch to that language.

  • e) Be Objective

  • Even though Helpers do not act as official representatives of Xerazx-OTS , people will listen carefully when you speak, and if they feel you are biased, your reputation will suffer. Try putting personal feelings aside while acting as a Helper. If you feel you are biased, refer the question to another Helper.

  • f) Be Respectful

  • Although Helpership entails some special features, Helpers are still considered to be regular players in all other respects. Maintain a respectful attitude towards fellow Helpers both in the game as well as on the boards. Finally, keep disagreements to the Helper board or the Helper channel and do not provoke pointless discussions.

  • g) Be a Model Xerazx-OTS Player

  • Remember that even though Helpers are still regular Xerazx-OTS players, players will pay attention to the way they behave in the game. You should try to set an example for your fellow Xerazx-OTSns. Play fair and make sure to follow the rules at any point of time. If you violate the rules, you will lose your position on top of any regular punishment.


    What's the advantage of being Helper?

    • Your name will be listed on our website at Support Team Page.

    • Your name will be also listed on our Forum Leaders page.

    • You will have Unique Icon on the forums.

    • Your text color will be changed into Help Channel.

    • You will have special effect appears on you every 4 seconds at the server, in order to let people know you as a unique & trusted person (optional).

i would like to apply for the position because i know how hard it can be to start on a new server not knowing much about how it works, i enjoy helping people and giving people a chance to learn about the server and what is best for them to do in there current position without them feeling that they wont get help and stop playing. i want people to know that there is help out their and all they need to do is ask.

2# How many hours you can be daily online, and playing in Xerazx-OTS?

i'm currently studying at university and have alot of free time on my hands i could offer a minimum of 3-4 hours a day and more if requested

3# What can you produce to the server after being a Staff Member?

hopefully if i get the position i can give people a whole range of information on to play the server from where to hunt for the first time, how to catch pets an even help in pvp combat if there not using their vocation to the maximum advantage. i would also like to help people stop getting scammed/hacked on the server by giving them general information on how scams work or how they could be giving their account details away without their knowledge. i will try and warn people who are known scamers and would also start my own list or trusted players who i would recommend to anyone that i trust an feel would help the community.

4# Why would we choose you?

i think i would be good for the position as when i first started on this server around 4-5 months ago now i didn't know anyone and i had nothing believe it or not i went without speaking to anyone for the first month on the server and never once asked for help so it made my time more difficult. but 5 months on i now have the skills and ability's to know exactly how to play this server i am currently 980 rebirths an plan in the next day or two to finally reach my goal from when i first started the server and get a rebirth of 1000. and once i have a rebirth of 1000 i will not be leveling much so have plenty of time for helping people who need it. also played tibia since 7.0 many years ago and have ran servers myself and know how stressful it can be on the owner when he hasnt got any help from a players point of view

Hello.

My name is Lukas Hult, I'm 16 years and coming from Sweden.
In school i' study economics, i got top grade in Math, Biologics, P.E and English.
I do speak Swedish, English and little Spanish (I'm reading spanish in school atm)
I use to play like 1-4h, seems what day it is. at Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and the rest of the weekend am i online in 2-4h Wedensdays and Thursdays im online for 1-2h.
At my spare time i play football, this ot, Playstation 3 (often Mw3) And ofc I'm study.


I'm searching for a staff member ship. I've been notice that the GM and the tutor are almost never online, i think that the server should have active staff members. I got so much to offer in a staff place. I am almost the richest player on the ot, because im good to change game things until things att the game who's worth rl-money. Total things i Got (whos good) Rich set, admin freeze, don uh, 4 admin sds and 4500 Exp Scrolls. (never donated, also had a friend who gave me)


What do i have to offer?
I always have the Help-chat open for people who needs help with quests or only some questions. I've been a player here in 6 months.

I want to be a staff member to help people easier and also fix bugs easy.

1# Why would you like to apply for that position?
Because I know that alot of people on this server are asking frequently question regarding problems they are having or regarding bugs that are well known and in some cases that are never known.

I am usually the type of person that insist of helping people and when I need help myself on server I always regard using the help channel, but mostly no staff member is online. So I want to change that situation to make the players of Highexp feeling safe that someone is there for them at all time.

2# How many hours you can be daily online, and playing in Xerazx-OTS?

I can be online 4-5 hours, it is all depending on how I am doing with my studies, but often they are going smooth and that I will be able to assist people quite for sometime without any interuptions.

3# What can you produce to the server after being a Staff Member?
I am well known how sitting for hours in the help channel and a question should not be a problem for me regarding the servers FAQ and to prevent players that are regulary telling that they have been hacked and that they need admin to example contact the higher poistion through the Forums or even contact if a higher position aren't online at that moment.

Also regarding what I can produce for the server, I have been a mapper since 7.6 and I have no problems giving help to make spawns or quest or even regarding making something new. (just ask and I will do it)

4# Why would we choose you?
I have been with Opentibia since 7.6 and I find it fun to help players that are having problems and even though I am not a helper or any staff position on a server I still like to have the help channel open for any reason that players that have problems maybe need my help.

I am a patient person and can tolerate high amount of "crap" talk without hesitating of screaming at a person, I simply just put myself in a bubble and blocks all the crappy words that people might throw at me

Good e been in this server for 8 months and I know a lot. addition and without this position I help people as if fuiera helper because that promotion opens a door very wide but if and helped people in solidarity

2# How many hours you can be daily online, and playing in Xerazx-OTS?
I'm able to play monday to friday for 7-13 hours. I can play alot over the weekend.

3# What can you produce to the server after being a Staff Member?
All because it gives me great joy to help people.

4# Why would we choose you?
Because I will dedicate many hours of play time to helping out on server. I would be as active as I possibly can and give all the help and support player desire. I will make it my goal to help out on the server the best I can. I also have experience with being a GM,CM,ADMIN AND GOD in previous successful server I was running.

Well I have been in this community for a short time but I get along very well with people so I can make them to follow the rules and make this server more funny and respectful at the same time.

Why? He is just more active on Help Channel / Forum and Helpful.

I like to help people and I play every day at least 2 hours. I think players who have just started need help, community manager and admin and not always have time for new players

I have much time to play because I'm a bit addicted to highexp.eu and all free time I stitch in highexp.eu

3# What can you produce to the server after being a Staff Member?

I hope I get the position I so that players who need help can really help, and so they are easier to Highexp.eu play. I think I can go for a higher position but first some more experience. I can help with bugs and what raid tokens are and where they can use, etc.

4# Why would we choose you?

I think I'm good for the position because I've been playing 8 months Highexp.eu. I am also very much a day online and I think everyone should have the same opportunities to Highexp.eu play. I also think that everyone who love Tibia Highexp.eu that they should play

Application Closed for now, once we look for more helpers / Change the current helpers (in case of fail) we will open the application and check the people who weren't accepted.
