nah, that would suck hard, if you wanna players with higher rebirths to not abuse on lower, you can just create some mechanism to them to deal less dmg for example if some criteria is met you reduce their attack (like if you're the higher rebirthed player, you do only 50% dmg if you killed that player 3 times in last 24 hours, and if that player is 300 rebirths less than you) something like that.
What I think would help a bit is: staged death penalty
I dont wanna pay tons of MDCs to dont lose anything, also I know players complained in the past that without death penalty, there were no fun in "guild wars" since players would just come back forever. So following the previous "suggestion" a staged death penalty would work just great, like if you die 5 times in 24 hours, 0% skills and level loss, from 5 to 10 1% and so on OR you can ofc pay those huge MDC to get blessed (and also that could stage too, so if you died like 5 times you pay 10 mdcs, if you died 10, 20 mdcs, and so on)
